History

Mike Kohn founded The Frame Shop in 1968. Bill Frantz, Marylee’s brother, acquired it in 1976 and expanded The Frame Shop to four stores and a factory. In 1982, Marylee and Bob McShane bought the business from Bill, and The Frame Shop soon evolved into a family enterprise. All five of their children worked there with their parents during high school and college. Katy and Richard made The Frame Shop their career. Richard, a vital contributor to the business, left The Frame Shop in October 2007.

In 1993, the family built the store where The Frame Shop stands today, a 4,000 square-foot facility. The Frame Shop, a true family business, is built on solid values and friendly service.
